Colorado City Mayor Dan Barlow said Johnson, who was survived by 13 of his 16 wives, died at his home in nearby Hilldale, Utah. Barlow said steps were being taken to select a successor to Johnson, but, would not give details. He said a funeral will be held Sunday at the town's activity center.
